On Friday, Mrs. Yoanna Ivanova, Head of the Intellectual Property and Data Protection Department of the Gugushev & Partners Law Office and Mr. Ilian Trifonov, a Consultant in the same department, attended the first International Forum on "Cyber Policies", organized jointly by the Commission for Personal Data Protection of Bulgaria and the International Law Center (ILAC).

The event was dedicated to the interrelation between personal data protection and the digital environment, including cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and the Internet of Things.

The participants were welcomed by Mrs. Mariya Gabriel, the EU Commissioner for the Digital Economy and Society, and Ms. Mariana Nikolova - Deputy Prime Minister for Economic and Demographic Policy and Chairman of the Cybersecurity Council, while the panelists included Mr. Ventsislav Karadjov, Chairman of the Commission for Personal Data Protection and Vice-Chairman of the European Committee for Personal Data Protection (EDPB), Mr. Krasimir Simonski, Vice-Chairman of the State Agency for Electronic Governance, Assoc. Prof. Goh Lanx, a Member of the Commission for Personal Data Protection of Singapore, Mr. Oren Elimelech, a cybersecurity expert at the Israeli Government, Mr. Ian Evans, the Manager of One Trust for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, as well as many other prominent experts in the field of personal data protection and digital issues from Bulgaria, America, Singapore and other countries.
