Dear friends,

In the year marked by Covid-19, we again decided to continue our support for the young talents of Bulgaria, as we believe that they are the future and anyone who puts positive efforts into their dreams and goals should be supported on their road to success.

We present you the Second Edition of our project the Notebook of Gugushev & Partners Law Office - "The (Un)Known rights Notebook"!

We believe that any responsible business should support the sustainable development of society with initiatives in the field in which they excel. For Gugushev & Partners Law Office this area is, understandably, the law. For us, the law is not a static idea, but a dynamic process in which there are always people to seek and exercise their rights, and there is also someone to defend them or sometimes just to explain them.

This year's Notebook presents in an entertaining way important but not so popular rights. It focuses on our responsible mission as lawyers to participate in the process of knowing and protecting our rights - the known ones as well as the not so popular ones.

The author of the wonderful illustrations to the Notebook – Yulia Zlateva is an artist with experience in fine arts. The main principle in her work is eclecticism - the solder that welds the seemingly incompatible in a collage of colors, times, structures and characters. Current events offer us just that - an opportunity to go through situations that we did not expect to face, but our response to these challenges determines the result we will achieve to be valuable and constructive.

Follow us on the fun journey through (Un)Known Rights, because art should not be a luxury - it is a livelihood and defending our rights should not be an exception but a standard!

The right to be forgotten

Did you know that within the EU you can ask any search engine to delete links to websites containing your personal data (Art. 17 of the General Data Protection Regulation)? For example, you can ask Google to "forget" your name.

The right to supranational protection of fundamental human rights

Did you know that once you have exhausted all possibilities to protect your fundamental rights at the national level, you can lodge an individual application with the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg within six months of the final decision of the national court (Art. 34 of the European Convention on Human Rights)?
