On 09.11.2022, the Gugushev & Partners team, represented by Marian Ivanov, had the pleasure to attend a conference on "Smart Cities and Digitalization" in Launchee. The event, organized by the German-Bulgarian Chamber of Industry and Commerce (GBCIC) with the support of the European Investment Bank (EIB), attracted over 60 participants online and on-site.

Dr Mitko Vassilev, General Manager of GBCIC, opened the event by defining the smart city as a place where traditional networks and services are made more efficient with the help of digital solutions for the benefit of the citizens and businesses. As part of the Policy and Analysis Directorate of the Ministry of Innovation and Growth, Chief Expert Nikolay Karamikhov had the opportunity to present certain parts of the Bulgarian Smart Specialization Strategy 2021-2027.  

A number of other companies and organizations took the opportunity to showcase the modernization of their work, with some of the main topics covered during the event including air traffic services, vehicle collision avoidance systems, digitization of waste collection, and innovations in the conservation of heritage sites.
