Gugushev & Partners Law Office advised the northern German shipbuilding company, in connection with a procedure organised by the Bulgarian Ministry of Defence for the acquisition of two multi-purpose modular patrol vessels for the Bulgarian Navy. The project, valued at approximately EUR 500 million, formed part of Bulgaria’s armed forces modernisation programme.

Our team provided legal support throughout the key stages of the client’s participation in the procedure, from reviewing the procurement documentation and participation requirements to preparing and reviewing the documents required for submission. Following the client’s selection as contractor, the law office represented and advised it during the contract negotiations and assisted with successfully concluding the agreement. The contract provides for the design and construction of two multi-purpose modular patrol vessels, as well as the supply of spare parts, tools and accessories, crew and engineering staff training, and integrated logistical support for the vessels.

The law office continues to support the client following the signing of the contract, including in connection with subsequent amendments to the contractual documentation and related legal matters, as well as the ongoing performance of the contractual obligations.
