Gugushev & Partners Law Office advises Alpiq, one of Switzerland’s leading energy companies and a leading provider of energy services in Europe, in connection with its investments in wind energy projects in Bulgaria.

The law office assisted the company with the acquisition of two wind farms in Bulgaria, with a total installed capacity of 72.50 MW. Our work included conducting legal due diligence of the project companies, advising on the legal aspects of the acquisitions and assisting with the legal steps required to complete the transactions.

Following the acquisitions, the Law Office continued to advise the cleient on matters relating to the development and operation of the wind farms, including the applicable energy regulatory framework, obtaining and maintaining the necessary licences and permits, as well as relations with NEC, ESO, EWRC and other competent authorities. The law office also assisted with matters relating to balancing groups and electricity producers.
